Born in Osaka, Japan, Mio’s soft spoken and kind demeanor compliment her meticulous and creative personality. She was an educator at the Vidal Sassoon Academy for nearly a decade before becoming a Goldwell educator. From precision cutting to effortless loose styles, Mio caters to men and women with all different lengths and textures of hair. With over 17 years of experience and various impressive accolades under her belt, you will be pleasantly greeted by her excellent customer service. In 2017, Mio earned the title of the Professional Beauty Association’s North American Hairstylist of the Year. When outside of the salon, she is creating beautiful collaborations with like-minded artists doing high-fashion editorial photoshoots and styling hair for various events and press.

Multi-talented and multi-faceted, Jeri offers high quality haircutting for men, women and children. Her friendliness, patience and high level of customer service make this seasoned hairdresser and educator one of our most sought after stylists. Understanding the importance of a total look, Jeri will consult with her clients in hair, make-up, lifestyle and styling regime to help develop a look that is easily achievable at home. Jeri has worked worldwide, living in London, Paris, Los Angeles, Boston and her home town, Chicago. She has styled celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Bill Murray, Elle McPherson and Donna Karan to name a few and is often called upon to style the looks for New York Fashion Week.

Alex Ioannou

Of Greek descent and raised in London, England, Alex Ioannou (pronounced you-ah-nou) spent ten years with Vidal Sassoon, quickly rising to Artistic Director. In his expansive career as hair stylist, educator, and platform artist, his craft expertise has been sought out for the genre of television, commercials, music videos and high fashion runway. He has also been showcased in makeovers for national talkshows and magazine editorials. He was named one of the country’s top hairstylists and salon owners featured in 50 Hairstylists by Rick Morton and as one of The Best Hair Stylists in Chicago by Refinery29.com.

Cecilia Jimenez

A Paul Mitchell and TRIO Salon Training Program graduate, Cecilia has been doing her magic with hair for almost a decade. Specializing in cutting, eyebrow threading, and special event hairstyling, she is very precise and professional, helping her clients find their perfect look. Cecilia finds her inspiration from art and the different backgrounds of her clients. She uses the clients’ personality to create a foundation, finding a look that reflects their energy, facial features, and heritage. She thinks of her styles as sculpting, looking for the balance, structure, contrast and symmetry/ asymmetry of the hair. Coming from a big family, Cecilia is very family oriented, and is passionate about people and finding the perfect look for each individual. She helps her clients feel comfortable with her positive, professional vibe.

Fluent in Spanish, and a native Chicagoan, Roxy is a senior stylist here at GC by George Charles and has built and enjoys an established clientele. Excelling in haircutting for men, women and children, Roxy is also skilled in special event and bridal updo styling. She is a certified hair-enhancement and extension specialist for all hair types.

Sharie Valcin

Of Belizean descent, Sharie has been a senior colorist and texture stylist at GC by George Charles since 2020, where she also serves as the Color Educator, inspiring and encouraging the next generation of colorists. Sharie is well-versed in all types of color techniques, including multi-dimensional foil and color correction, color transformations, and texture. She loves creating hair art, having fun with hair, and challenging her limits. This love has led her to become a 2017 semi-finalist in the Goldwell Color Zoom, a 2020 NAHA finalist in hair color and hair cutting, and the 2021 NAHA avant garde winner. Her work has been published in trade journals, such as Modern Salon Magazine. A Douglas J Aveda Institute Chicago graduate, Sharie has been doing hair since 2011.

Nikki has been a colorist and texture specialist since 2007. Nikki is certified to perform Arrojo American Wave, Keratin Smoothing Treatment (Brazilian) and Thermal Retexturizing (Japanese). Her friendly, professional and likeable personality are just a few reasons why her loyal clientele continue to return. Having recently married and started a family of her own in the suburbs, Nikki’s goal is to redefine and update color balancing techniques for highlights and lowlights to achieve a professional, modern and fun look.

Vanessa, an accomplished colorist, texture specialist and makeup artist has been perfecting her craft for over a decade. She continuously is educating herself to deliver the best quality experience. Vanessa is the Keratin Queen giving you the smoothest most manageable hair with certifications in over 5 different brands. She also performs other texture services; the American Wave by Arrojo, and the famous Japanese Thermal. She can truly visualize what the clients desired outcome is and guide them on the journey through that transformation.

She is foremost a mum and enjoys traditional Polish cooking, gardening and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle!
